Recent studies about drug-taking show that alcohol is the most-consumed drug among young people. In fact, 81.2% of young people between the ages of 14 and 18 have consumed alcohol at least once, 44.6% tobacco and 32.5% cannabis.

The main reason for this high level of consumption is twofold: on the one hand, the low perception of risk that young people and society in generaland, on the other hand, the fact that today drugs belong to the leisure culture..

This is why we at the ”la Caixa” Welfare Projects have set into motion a programme for the prevention of drug-taking, which deals with the question of prevention in a complete way.
